Okay so I actually have a decent batch of things to submit. Mostly random sketches from boredom on vacation But I have started this big picture last night at 9. Dear god it is taking forever!!!!

I normally just draw vague shapes or anime characters nothing really detailed for people cause I realize I epic fail at real people. So what do I do? I go "Hey you know what would be fun? Let's draw Ares!"

So I go to find a cool representation of him online, find none decide to do a cloaked lightning-y figure, then while drawing the chin and mouth to start the face decide to draw the ares I grew up with. Kevin Smith as Ares in the whole Xena, Hercules, Young Hercules Franchise. Amazing Ares yes, but Have you ever tried to draw a dude with a mound of curly hair and facial hair??!!!! It's so HARD!!!!! not to mention the vest he's wearing in the picture I chose has one of the most complex metal bits on it. And I'm just kind of ignoring the fact that he has a chest and chest hair.

So once my mom gets home I'll commandeer the scanner and try to post everything before I go away to college. And hopefully Ares will be done, but I'm kinda failing at the face so no idea if I'm gonna post it or not.
